Another dew-laden insect!! The location, an alpine sphagnum moss bog, is one of my favourite destinations. But I promise I'll make this my last dewy-insect posting ;)

Canon EOS 5, Canon 100mm macro, ISO 50, Natural back-light plus reflector, F22, Tripod.

Cool shot, John. I do most of my shooting in the early morning and sometimes start to wish for non-dewy subjects. This is really nice with the rim lighting on the drops. My only nit is I wish the tips of the forward antenna was in the plane of focus, but it looks like you were already maxed out at f22.

Lovely bejeweled insect, you could actually count the drops!

Hi John,
Don't make this the last one as they are so well done! I think the water droplets are what separate them from the ordinary and as the others above mentioned........you can count them! i see what David is saying about a bit of DOF falloof on the antenna..but you may be able to selectively sharpen a bit more. Very well composed!

You guys have lots of dew there. :)

Like this one especially the clarity of the water droplets and the lighting.
