had a play with HDR 3 images. Has it any merit what would you do to improve

I think it's quite lovely Grahame. I like the high key look with the minimal color palette. My only suggestion would be to give a little more space at the bottom. Did you use a light table? I like the translucent quality of the flowers.

I really like the white on white effect of this, with just the glowing subtle touches of yellow. The diagonal composition is good but I agree with Kerry that you need more space at the bottom. Should not be too hard to add with Content Aware in PS. Those 3 pale green buds anchor the image nicely. Light tables are great for producing this kind of translucence.

What HDR software? There is tremendous leeway in the tone mapping part, and this one strikes me as a little flat. Different programs give different looks and require some practice and mastery.
