This must be frog day, with Nancy posting a frog just ahead of me!

Taken yesterday in my backyard. This one particular frog likes to hang out on a granite boulder while looking for butterflies. It is interesting to see her stalk them. Remarkable patience.

Olympus EM-5 60mm f/2.8 Macro f/13,1/25s, ISO 1600 Gitzo.

Post: Crop for comp, adjusted background luminosity, selective sharpening

Advice and comments always appreciated.

Cheers

Lovely angle, clarity and tones here Randy.
The BG colours are also very pleasing and complement the subject nicely.

I'm beginning to appreciate frogs more. This is great detailed image of a classic frog pose, and how nice to have absolutely no bkgd clutter! I think it would be fascinating to see a frog capture something.

This is a beauty too, it is so clear and pleasantly lit, the frog isn't actually doing anything and yet it holds the viewer's interest very well indeed. I again think this is attributable to the excellent detail.

I'm with the other critiques on all the positives. I like it a lot.

Hi Ron,

Like the POV, DOF, balance of the colours & missing noise (it was ISO1600). It's sharp, I guess the breathing vibrations were well resolved. If mine and if available I would add a bit to the top and right. TFS.

Cheers,
