This butterfly was checking out the water mint by my garden pond and I liked the miniature landscape setting.

What a super cool looking butterfly! Perfect pose to admire those brilliant colors and spots. I very much like it in your mini-landscape setting. The greens & other colors are soft, as well as the lines and shapes, so they do not compete with the butterfly. Plus those reds and blues of the butterfly are so strong and different from the bkgd, it stands out easily. Having the bkgd adds very nicely to the feel of where these butterflies occur. If you do any cloning, I would probably remove those 3 reddish lines above the butterfly that go to the top edge. Also might remove that one particularly bright tannish spot just to the right of the rear wing.

Really beautiful rich colors on the subject, nicely composed and captured. I think a darker background would have helped the subject's colors draw the eye more, we need to train these creatures to meet our needs ;)
