From a fun and wet outing one morning this past week (and no, it was not raining :S3:). Same as my previous image of a plover, I really wanted to get images of them in the shallow water among the greenery poking up from the water, but in order to get close enough and keep the low angle I needed move in from shore and lie prone in the water. If you are interested in seeing that, see the link below - a fellow local bird photographer caught me in action as I was photographing these very birds:

Canon 7D + 500mm f/4 II + 1.4TC, manual exposure, evaluative metering, 1/1000s., f/5.6, ISO 800, natural light, handheld, small crop to help the comp, usual eye work.

Marvellous image Daniel Sir. Superb low angle. Great composition with green leaves coming up intermittently and their reflection.
Reflection of the plover looks quite artistic. Love it. Rest as usual superb.

Regards,
Satish.

Looked at the photo of you in the water... DEDICATION IT IS. Last time I did that was in a war in southeast Asia, and that was to save my butt. Lovely image, Daniel. Thank you for sharing.

The way I imagined you..in the water all the way. You are a crazy guy and I love your work. I hope I will meet you in person soon.
Very nice image, one that does bring us viewers onto the environment. Hats off, Dan.

Excellent Dan, the image is awesome, well worth the dip. Beautiful colours, excellent placement and again, nice thinking with regard to format.

Thanks for including the additional image, a lovely touch to the story and at the end of the day, it's all 'organic' and the washing machine will take care of it after the event :bg3:.

Superb image design and all around excellent work, Dan. Love this one.
I'd do just a bit of clean up in the OOF material to the right of the bird. One blob in particular pulls my eye away.

Fantastic shot Daniel. Love the POV and the surrounds.
The image of you is good too.
Some people just don't get that to get the best shots, you actually have to put some effort in. Then get wet and or muddy.
Thanks for sharing mate!

A beauty of an image, Dan. Low POV for sure, and the wet duds were worth it. Your fieldcraft shines once again.
