Lovely image Jonathan. Great pose, nice perch and good clean background with complementary colours. DOF is very good, you have managed to get the sensor exactly parallel to the subject. The hairs on the body show up very well. A very pleasing image. Just one nit, on my monitor the whole image looks as if it could be lightened a touch.

Hi Jon,
A real beauty wonderfully captured! Nice sharpness throughout on the butterfly and very pleasing background. Agree with seeing if lightening the image a tad is an improvement.

The butterfly had just emerged from the pupa and it was a cool dull morning hence the subdued light. The exposure for me is Ok Levels are maxed out.

My apologies Jonathan,my monitor is at fault not your image. Have adjusted against the calibration strip at bottom of page and your image looks great. Have been wondering why my projected images were over bright at the Photo Club!!
