The Grand Canyon has to be one of the most photographed landmarks in the World. As a result it's difficult to find something different and usually when you do there are other photographers around:eek3:. One of the days I spent on the North Rim was pretty stormy with heavy rains and hail at times but also occasional patches of sunshine. This was taken from one of the viewpoints on the Cape Royal Road as the clouds and fog rolled in and shrouded the view. For a brief period only this point was visible.

C&C welcome and appreciated. Thanks,

I love how the misty clouds frame the scene! Well done!

Thanks Diane, Tobie and Valerio. Valerio - this one is mine, not Diane's. Not sure what you hope to hear soon.

Thanks again,
Rachel

This is something different - I quite like it!

This is quite something Rachel... I like how the clouds focus the eye on the scene and then the scene fade as your eye wanders. It's much nicer than the abrupt end/edge that most photos have.. My only wish would be a fully clear focal point which may never have happened on the day so...

A very unique photo in that you rarely see fog with blue sky and bright colors, at least I haven't. Nicely seen and photographed.

Very nice and unique I really like the framing of the rock formations by the fog

Hi Rachel, there are times when you have to seize the moment, and you certainly did that here. Love how the point is framed by the mist, and Im sure a few seconds later, it was either covered, or it opened up, thus no framing by the mist. Well seen and captured.

You did a nice job with this and a nice eye to find it.
I would maybe add a bit more contrast.....
