Nice bird with a great pose also the perch and background are good Dennis, maybe slightly lacking in detail, was it a fairly good crop?

Another good one Den. Looks a teeny bit light on my gear. A drop ofgamma might give it a bit more"wallop"!
Cheers

Love the intense start, BG color and perch.

Great eye contact, Dennis. The symmetry of the pose is nice and I would consider cropping it into a portrait aspect ratio rather than the square.

Repost much better. Always 'constrain proportions' on resize the first image is flattened. The repost has it all....nice work.

I knew there must be some distortion when I first opened the image last night. I came in this morning to give feedback and see the grab from Flickr that show the image properly. Evaluating that image all I have to say is Bravo!! I love this shot. No nits or crits from me on this one.

The repost looks a lot better Dennis, no problem with detail on that mate. :S3:

Excellent image, Dennis. Looks like he has posed for you only. I have taken the privilege to edit the image. Hope you do not mind.
I would go for vertical composition for this pose, personal choice. WDYT?

Terrific image. The last RP is my favorite but not sure it can take that large a crop without losing details/sharpness in the face.
