I agree, the head turn is really special. That fringe of hair at the bottom of the neck is beautifully detailed as well. The photo has just the right amount of color.

I too like the maine or hair along the neck line. And the antlers are captured nicely with the head turn. I don't mind at all the head is in front of the brush. After all it is where it lives. A nice habitat image.

The animal is so striking and strong in the image with that stare, he stands out from the BG well.

Great pose, nice light, good-looking animal. Don't mind the BG branches either althought I'd be tempted to try and remove the bigger branch merging with the horn. The horns are distinct enough that the smaller branches do not detract from their appearance.
