To my eye this is picture perfect. A superb colours detail and composition. Of course, a superb looking bird too.

Great patchwork to evict the ibis. I really like the thoroughness you had made to ensure nothing shows.
Excellent tonal range here for my taste and lovely comp. Nice gentle light.

A really impressive image!

As soon as I opened this I thought this must be from Bunche Beach!
Lovely fluffed up pose and great IQ.
Exposure and feather detail are spot on and I like your composition.

Great image, Bill. The soft low light brings out all the detail in this beautiful bird. Well done.

Thank you all. Your feedback is always appreciated.

As to the reflection, John: Given that I wanted to include the full width of the ripple, and room for virtual legs, showing part of the reflection was a secondary result. As I recall this was almost full-frame anyway; but even if it weren't, I don't think the reflection would have been mirror-smooth enough to justify showing it all.
