This pair of AMOY has just taken off calling to each other as they pass in front of a group of Red Knots, Dunlins, possible single Semipalmated Plover, and a Black-bellied Plover on the far right ocean marsh island on Nummy Island. I tried several crops, wanting to leave some of the upper marsh ponds, and probably could crop up from base of frame a bit. C&C welcome.

A well captured scene here. Sharp where it needs to be. My only wish is that the birds would be closer together and on the first third line, and for a minor point, that the OC on the right had its bill not in line with its upper wing. Exposure, colour and detail looks good.

Great habitat shot with a mixture of Shorebird species.

Geoffrey:

Pleasing birdscape with lots of details to study. Good points by Adrian, but I don't generally feel that the success of such an image is tied as much to each individual bird as it is to the overall balance and composition.

Very nice coastal marsh, with lots to look at. I'm also seeing a few Short-billed Dowitchers in with the mixed peeps. Randy makes a good point.

The thumbnail doesn't do this image justice. A beautiful birdscape Geoffrey!
