I took this last Christmas. Boxing Day to be exact.

Fuji S5, Tamron 17-50 f2.8 @ f8, ISO 400, 1/90 sec. Used CS3 to convert to black and white. I don't remember if I used a tripod but, given 1/90sec, I guess I did then :) Not sure why I used ISO 400 though :(

A very striking image. I like the placement of the FG stump, the middle ground stump and the horizon. I like the grass the has laid down in the front. Makes a nice diagonal in the image. I agree with Gary's suggestion on the sky. Good use of B&W and rich mid-tones. Thanks for posting.

Welcome to the forum! I agree with Gary and Robert about lightening the sky especially where it start to merge with the black border........another option is changing the border color. Robert also make the very good point on how the shadowed grass and the stumps make a very nice diagonal composition.Wonderful use of textures here also. Very well done!
