What a bird!Very tropical environment; I find the perch huge, but I don't mind due to the color of the bird there is an obvious separation and the blue color pops in the green settings. Where was it taken? It is a set up, was audio used? TFS.

Stuart:

Agree with Lorant, a colorful guy, nice pose,, well composed.

Also would like to know where it was taken, any pertinent details in post processing, etc.

The details add both to our understanding of natural history, and how the image was created.

Cheers

A perky pose. Good form to the bird shown by the pose. Good colours and details. A successful image IMHO.

Lovely. These are striking little birds, and you've captured this one very nicely, with great pose. Perch is indeed huge, but very tropical, and the bird is positioned nicely in the frame, standing out well against the bg.

I like the angled pose, composition and exposure control. It is very easy to over expose the cap on these guys. Although the perch is big it still works for me. Excellent image Stuart!
