Another from my visit to Texas Hill Country. I had the opporunity to study under Alan Murphy and Scott Ellowitz at the Los Madrones Ranch just out side of Austin.

All I have to say is GO THERE !!!! Mike Murphy the owner has a wonderful little place on the TX Birding trail.

So here is Painted Bunting on the perch we nicknamed stumpy...

Congratulations on this beautiful image. When I saw the thumbnail. I thought it was one of Alan Murphy's photos. I took a class from him at the St. Augustine Birding festival last year. He is an inspiration to me... the type of birding photography that I strive to do, which is mostly in my backyard with my Bluebirds. You obviously learned some of his techniques. well!
