I shot this wide to showcase the landscape and terrain and I liked the pose of the Ele as he was drinking up on his way back.

This is a great pose! I can really see and feel the massive size of this elephant as it stretches & climbs out of the river. The diagonal posture of the elephant is different and very visually engaging. The short even-colored grasses and the featureless sky keep bkgd distractions minimal and also accentuate the size and power of the elephant. The elephant is nicely framed as it stretches between the blue-gray of the sky and the similar color of the water, with the very nice contrasting ground layer of golden grasses Going wide was the perfect way to go! Could not be a nicer composition!

I like this a lot! The scale of the elephant in the environment is important! To me , the details and contrast are very well done! TFS!

Nice one Sanjeev. Typical winter's hazy sky/light on the Chobe.
I do wish he was turned slightly more towards us - and I would consider cropping some off the top, as well as adding a hint of LCE/midtone contrast.

Hi Sanjeev - I too like the wider view. PP looks good here though I like Morkel's suggestion regarding LCE. I think it might help bring out the very faint pinkish clouds in the sky a bit more. Overall, nice one.

Hi Sanjeev, I really like the light in this, and what a lovely drinking pose. I do like the bits of water splashed on the hide, and I quite like the comp as is. You sure got your monies worth on your trip. Well captured.
