This tropical night-flowering waterlily (Nymphaea "Sturtevant") at Longwood Gardens caught my eye because of its beauty, and because of the interesting damselfly "mating wheel" at the right side of the image. Bright light conditions caused objectionable shadows, that I have not tried to correct. Still, I think this is an interesting image worth sharing.

All comments and suggestions are as always welcome.

It is indeed worth sharing -- it's more than interesting -- it is just wonderful! I love the sharpness, color and tonality. The light isn't objectionable to me. The reflection of the damsels in the grace note!

Hi Norm,
Agree with Diane's comments...nice image and the reflection of the damsels takes it up a notch.

Norm certaily worth sharing I like it very much indeed. The lighting has made for a lovely reflection of the damsels, I like the colours and composition.

Those damselflies are the proverbial cherry on top! Great colours, good sharpness, and although I see what you mean about the shadows (especially the petals' reflections) it terribly objectionable. I could see a version with a bit less below and more at left to give more room towards where the flower "points" at. Certainly fine as is though.

I like the colors and composition, very nice sharpness overall, the damseflies and reflection make this special.
