Looking for his mate

Hi all this seal was looking for his mate to enter the beach , or better said was looking if his mate also want to enter the beach .... feeling safer if you are with two rather than alone .
AS there have not been many of them at this beach section .

Canon EOS 1Dx
EF 200-400 with TC engaged at 560 mm
HH

F 8 ; Iso 2000; 1/1600 sec

Processed wit DPP 4 and PS CC 2015 ; cropped for comp from all sides slightly apart from RHS
Could have removed the beach and the stone in the water , but stay away from it for the moment .

Hi Andreas - Another nice low pov. If it were mine I would look at a 16x9 format and getting rid of the beach and stone. To me it is a much more powerful image without them. I would also burn the highlights in the water slightly, just 2-3%. It just focuses attention on the seal a bit more.

Your seal does have an anxious look. I agree that removing the beach and stone would make this a stronger image, putting the focus on the seal. Water drops are a nice detail. TFS

Hi Andreas -- i like these color tones in your seal images ! The first thing where my eye went was towards the stone in the FG , so i would also agree on removing it ! TFS

Would like some more definition on fur on neck, the water droplets @ left shoulder looks sharper?
