The Scissor Tail

Arctic Tern, western Iceland.
Underexposed, but I just liked the view of the tail.....
I can get decent detail with this lens combo and it is great for traveling and carrying around but it
is no super tele, that is for sure.....
i did not go to Iceland for bird photography at all and am very surprised that I do not see
more from there, it is a breeding bird paradise in the summer months.....

I agree, the pose and the BG are awesome but the light and its angle are less than ideal. Nice that the head is clear and visible. Lots of great birds from Iceland, keep em coming.

Excellent flight image, Dan. Super wing, tail, head and feet positions. I was there in June of 2012 and I agree, it's one spectacular bird breeding paradise in summer.
