This pic was taken a year ago on a mildly overcast morning, and I have always liked it. I took it through a small opening in a chain link fence. I took a series of pics of this baby, which was hovered over from time to time by 6-8 adult terns (I think Forster's).The image has been sharpened only. Can I do more with what I have? And what could I have done better at the time?

I like the concept, you have quite a bit of harsh light, it would be more appealing if you were at a lower capture angle and perhaps maybe a vertical pose on this one.

Hi Wendell !!! I like the pose and eye contact The image is back lit Would try lightening the head area. I'm fine with the crop but a vertical would work fine also. As presented would like extending canvas up top !! Posting below !!

Thanks, guys. Well, Alfred, you always make 'em look better and, in this case, with very simple corrections.

i think you could have gotten a lower perspective. would have looked better as long as you had a decent bg. i do like al's repost!!

sorry, gus already covered that!!

Yes, harold, and it easily could have been done, too. i must remember that in the future, since it seems to apply in almost all cases. . . .
