This image was created on the same evening as my previous post. I finally found the composition I had been seeking long after the sun had set, hence the 5 second exposure at ISO 800.

Nikon D800
Nikon 18-35mm lens @ 22mm
ISO 800
f16 @ 5seconds
Nikon Polarizer

Look forward to comments.

Hi Andrew

I think i like this even more than the previous image...The water is quite beautiful, and a very nice composition. I do find that orange smear in the lower LH corner a bit of an eye catcher and if your ethics allow, I would dampen its enthusiasm for catching the eye a little. The orange streaks on the opposite side of the river no problem for me..

A fine image all round..thanks for showing.

regards

Lovely -- with wonderful silky water and a nice composition. Would be my preference to change the color of the orange streak in the FG. Like Don, I'm fine with the ones in the mid-ground.

I'm wondering about toning down the three bright trunks near the center. I think I would.

Really nice shot, agree that the orange smear is a bit distracting, but overall I enjoy the image.

All the best, Dvir

The SS is a bit too slow for me, especially in the bottom third.
I don't mind the orange....

Andrew. This is a lovely image. Unlike the others, I like the 3 birch trees & the streak of color in the LL. I also think you used the correct SS.

Very nice Andrew, love that post-sunset soft light. I don't mind the silkiness of the water, but do wish there were some more rocks bottom third peeping out to "offset" it...

Thanks folks for the comments and suggestions...usually I will use Viveza and drop a control point on the orangey colors and de-saturate a bit...not sure why I missed that here...will tone down.
