I hope this image was taken much earlier, although just a week ago regions of Canada had snowstorm.
Nice flight shot, Will. The snow (sleet) coming down angled adds a stormy feel to it.

I would like to see the bird higher in the frame Will. The head appears a tad soft. I'll check it at home later this evening.
Love the rain at an angle. Nice touch mate.

Another good one Will. I agree with Akos, the bird just a bit soft, no doubt because of keeping the shutter speed down to get the movement blur in the snow flakes. I also note a slight magenta cast - I often see this with my 5DIII when shooting Auto WB and high ISO. If you have this problem it can be fixed by adjusting the color temperature. Regards, Ian

I like the rain and the ambiance but slow shutter speed didn't help with sharpness here, head shows motion blur and it is slightly turned away from us. But I like the overall mood of the image

You have some good comments above.
Bird is a bit soft which hurts the image unfortunately.
Nice BG.Snow adds a lot.
Do you have a frame with the wings clearing the head completely?

Hi Will, sorry but the first thing that struck me was the soft head, the rump looks bordering on the hot side to me, but it makes a real change to see one in the snow with a black head.

Agree with the comments above Will but I do like the mood of this image just the sort of shot that appeals to me.

Keith.

Thanks for the comments guys. I did slow the shutter speed down to get the snow effect, I know now that it was too slow :S3:
