I captured this fulmar on the Isle of May a couple of months ago. Thanks for looking and for the comments on my Ringed Plover :S3:

Hi Will a nice intimate look into the private life of a Fulmar.
Good choice of comp for me , but i would darken the HL , specially the LRC .
Nice overall detail , but i wish for a bit more tonal depth in the mid tones .Was the light situation that warm , as i think it has a yellowish overall look .
From the (my) neutral look , i think you can go tad color in the WB.

Hi Andreas, Thanks for the comments. I found it quite difficult to achieve the correct white balance, maybe it was the colours of the rocks, with some of them being more shaded than others. I cooled it a little and toned down the highlights a tad.

Great nest location, placed in a perfect nook in those rocks. Very good composition. Great head angle with the bill placed nicely in front of the white breast feathers. I like the darkened corner of the repost. Well done overall!!

My compliments to you, William on getting this portrait. One almost feels intrusive while photographing these birds, at least in my experience. Very nice textures and light.

Hi William, he looks cosy enough, protected from the elements, and a nice angled pose too. Your repost works well.

Nice one Will, looks like a hard bird to find and photograph. Thank you for sharing.

What a cool shot! I love it. If you have the room in the original frame, or have a different comp available, I would love to see more of the flowing grass-like vegetation along the left edge. That's nice.
Good work mate!
