A pair of Australia's largest owls, the Powerful Owl (Ninox strenua) a member of the hawk owl family allopreening one another during courtship. The male on the right (larger bird) is holding a Common Ringtail Possum, that is one of the owls' favourite prey items. Often, he or she will roost all day with a half eaten meal that will be finished off at dusk.

What a great shot! Great interaction, even a prey item! This image really brings the viewer into the owl's world. My only suggestion for improvement is to de-noise that foliage in the BG on the left side of the image.

I like the interaction, prey item, flash work, IQ and composition. Great work Akos!
