Wild Strawbwerry

D7100
Image setting medium.
Sigma 50 mm
20th sec @f5
100 ISO
Slight crop /curves in Paint Shop Pro
5 stacks iin CZM
Few adjustments to leaf edge bottom.
Gone back to try the sigma 50mm as I,ve realised there is a vast difference in the mechnics of it compared to the Nikor 40mm.
With the latter lens only a fraction of a turn on the barrell makes a big difference in focus. With the Sigm a big turn makes less focus difference so is much easier to use. I used to use this lens all the time a few years back for stacking(forgot I had it!!)

Gorgeous color and beautiful whites! I wish I could see the whole leaf at the bottom, but probably a good reason you composed it as you did.

Thanks. It just seemed to bring the whole thing down too far. Pity as this is one of my favourites so far.

Really nice colors and light and excellent detail in the whites! I also like the comp and the natural look of the clean background. Excellent work!

With stacking, would it have been possible to make sure the full leaf between the top two flowers is also sharp front to back?
It is really beautiful nevertheless John. Congrats! :)
