Here is an image created a week ago close to home. There were at least four beavers circling the waters near some lodges that have been newly erected. This one had just scratched its head and it left a bit of fur undone:) There were lots of bright reflections elsewhere around on the water so I concentrated my efforts when they passed on this particular patch of greener reflections.

Nice image Dan. The messed up fur adds a bit more character to this image compared to the "wet head" images I created the next day.

Very nice sharpness considering you were handholding at a rather slow shutter speed, Daniel. I like the wet fur look as well as the colors and patterns in the water. A little more room on the left might be nice if you have it.

lovely image. i think ur idea to wait for the beaver to move into the 'green section' is the key to separate the subject from the BG. harsh reflections wud not hav made the image stand out.
