Experimented a bit with this sunrise scene from my Cayman Brac trip. After making some basic adjustments and evicting 100+ dust spots, I guess you could say I slacked off on the sensor cleaning :S3: I added a slight diffused effect in Nik Color Efex.

NIkon 80-400mm VR lens @ 80mm
ISO 50

Look forward to comments.

Hi Andrew.. Beautiful sky, got to love those rays bursting out from the cloud... Maybe a little NR required?? I too would like to have a talk with the person who invented dust.. Its just not on..

Wow! What a dramatic sky with wonderful light on the water -- I love it!

This is one where you could play all day with tweaks to midtone detail (things like Detail Extractor and High Pass "sharpening") but I think you've taken it to an excellent point here.

PS -- sensor dust -- there was a thread somewhere a while back about the Sensor Gel stick. I got one and it is fabulous!!

Hi Andrew, Lovely cloud formation and who does not like God Beams, my only issue and its more personal taste than a critique and that is I wish you had not blown the small areas around the top of the cloud formation.

Thanks folks for the comments, much appreciated. Diane, thanks for the link to the sensor gel stick...it looks like a decent product that is worth giving a try.
