This Hermit Crab, occupying a Fighting Conch shell, was temporarily stranded at low tide at sunrise on Sanibel Is, FL. 5D II, 100 mm macro, 1/40, f/16, ISO 400, AF, tripod, mirror lock, cable release. All comments are welcome and appreciated.

Great light on his Ron and I like the sand ridges. You're spoiled for good subjects over there !!

The customs on the other side sometimes elude me...is "Ron" to guy like "Sheila" is to gal?
Ron ;)

I love hermit crabs, they bring back fond recollections. As John says, the low angle of golden light, the ridges, and the low point of view make this wonderful.

Hi Steve,
Terrific image. Wonderful warm light and great low perspective. I also like the sand as John and Ron have mentioned.

Excellent focus and DOF, unusual colours for this type of subject and it works well.
