Good exposure control and details, I wish for a lower angle and might remove some of the spots in the BG.

Great DOF for f/7.1, a little more room at the bottom and removing the background clutter will certainly improve it. Thanks for sharing this :)

I think I would have preferred to see the back bird out of the image or in a better position for juxtaposition composition. Being perpendicular to each other just does not do it for me.

Great looking birds and I would have definitely spent a lot of time with them if they let you.

Love the repost Ric. Beutiful detail and exposure and I like the pose in this one too. If it were mine I would be tempted to remove the black line at the top left of the image as well as the one at the back of the head. Also the little stick in the water in front of the bird. Very nice work Ric and thanks for the repost.
