Moorhen Not a surprise because its a moorhen but because the pool is hardly big enough for the bird to turn around.!!
It didn't stop long anyway. I was pleased in a way as it muddied all theshallow water !
Unable toget any detail from the blacks in shadow. The sun was murder today, but mustn't grumble.

Oh those blasted reflections !!!

nice capture of these touchy birds,prefer your other pool with all the different tones in the stones,bit of a poet in me:S3:TFS.

I agree. Trouble is the other pool is onlythree feet across! You never know though!! I put this on for a bit of interest really.

Great job on the exposure here with a tough bird. Your horizon is looking off to me. If you draw a line straight down from the tip of the bird's beak to it's reflection, it should meet.

Nice details John, I get these and even mallards in my garden pond and they uproot all the pond plants - it looks a real mess right now!
