Eastern Meadowlark, Joe Overstreet Road, Osceola County, Florida. I think some may find the barbed wire objectionable as a perch but this bird is an inhabitant of the pasture lands in Florida. The pasture lands have very few trees and bushes so the birds use what is available... barbed wire and fence posts. Comments and critique welcomed and appreciated. Thank you for viewing.

Hi Josep
I have in the past actually put barbed wire up just to get birds perching on it. And as you imply it does convey a feel of open grazed country. Those feet on the wire are amazing. Oh the birds nice too !!!
Good stuff!

Hi Joe,We have miles of barbed wire in my part of the world so we live with it,do like the colour and detail you have in this shot and also a nice BG,would be very pleased with this.

Beautiful!! Love the color and detail. A little rust on the wire would be nice, but... :w3 It is amazing how they can hold on.

I have hundreds of beautiful frames all on barbed wire also. There's a ton of it out west and many many birds use it for perches. Like Diane mentioned, I prefer mine with rust but I do have many great-looking frames like this with new Barbwire.
The Pose with the open beak, the good look at the feet, and that sweet looking green background really make this one stand out. The details look nice but I might be tempted to add a bit of black or contrast to this one, Looks just a hair washed out. Nice work

Nothing wrong with barbed wire for these grassland species (but like others I prefer mine weathered and rusted). Sweet image with great coliours and a neat pose. Pointing your lens a wee bit more to your left (or cropping in post as such) would have been good IMO. I love those feet!!

A beauty -- great singing pose with good techs. Another vote for rusty wire but you take what he gives you. I personally would have liked a little more room on the right, but then you lose the left-hand barb.

Ji Joe, what a great looking bird and you captured him well. Nice details and sharpness on the bird The colours are awesome. I like the grasses which blend nicely with the BG. If the perch had been rusty I think it would have fitted in more with the rest of the image. Great work
