nice head shot John, I like the BG too. I might leave a bit more room around him, especially on the top, as posted it's a bit over saturated and can use a bit more sharpening too. nice frame

A beautiful portrait John, What an amazing looking bird, you captured his textures well. Hate to tell you but I like the background, Yet it does show more noise than I would like to see. I thought you were shooting a D 7000 a while back?

Yes I have the D7100 and the D7000, but sometimes use the D200 I like the feel of it.
