I am finishing the planning and hotel booking of my Florida trip and the only thing that is missing is the last leg of the trip.
In this leg I'll be moving from Bradenton to the Fort Meyers area. So I'd like a suggestion of which city to stay to visit the following birding hotspots:
- Venice Rookery
- Cape Coral
- Sanibel Island
- JN Ding Darling NP
- Estero Lagoon
- Little Estero Lagoon
- others that I'm missing

I intend to stay in 1 hotel and drive to those places.

Thank you.

Everywhere you mention is in the Ft, Myers area, other than Venice, Stay on Sanibel if it's in your budget. Spring training Baseball is underway now, which means it may be difficult to find a hotel. I would fully expect you should be able to find one, It just may take a little calling ahead, of driving than expected.

I have a good price (compared to other hotels) at Wyndham Garden Fort Myers Beach and one small motel in Sanibel.
First is closest to Little Estero Lagoon. Sanibel's motel is a 10 min. drive from JN Ding Darling, 30 min. to Estero Lagoon.
Which one ? :))

Thank you.

Stay at the Wyndham. New and clean and easy drive to all of the above except venice rookery!

50% votes for each location so I opted to stay in Sanibel to get fast access to Ding Darling and try some nightscapes pictures as it seems there is less light pollution in this island.
Thank you for the suggestions.

John, I sent you an email.
Right now I'm in Ellenton/Bradenton and I will go places that are 1 hour drive from here at most (Fort de Soto, Celery Fiels, Myakka State Park and so on).
Also considering Circle B Bar Reserve.
