Took my 7d2 out for its maiden voyage yesterday, so really just wanted to see what it could do for starters. This lovely lady came up close to the hide where I was, so I thought I'd go in for a tight shot -

Canon 7d2
500mm f4is + 1.4x ii
ISO 1000
1/160th, f10

Not much I could do about the stark sky BG unfortunately - oh and its also the first time I've tried DPP4!

Looks like you're getting some good stuff with the new body Mike! Are you happy with your purchase?

Cheers Doug, I think once I get used to it, I will be happy with it. I got it for reach limited or high speed situations in decent light. I spent the day shooting at ISO 1000 and have not needed to use any NR so it has to be a case of so far so good. There's a slight focussing anomaly as mentioned in my other thread, but I don't think it's something that will affect me in real world shooting, so it looks like it will be earning a permanent spot in my bag
