I haven't had time to process many images of late due to work pressure, but I was piqued by an image posted last week showing a lake with ripples and reflections.
That reminded me of an image I took while returning to our houseboat on the Chobe river last year. While this was a "Wildlife" safari I never miss an opportunity to whip out the wide angle lens and capture some landscapes in my beloved corners of Africa.

Captured from a slow-moving motorised boat, as the sun set over this iconic river.

Techs:
Nikon D800

Hi Morkel

Beautiful sky & setting.. I like how the curve of the ripples is reflected in the curve of the cloud.. Adds a hint of symmetry without being truly symmetrical. I also see a better? (although maybe all too common) shot with a longer lens focusing only on the cumulus cloud just above the horizon and its reflection and the achia (incorrect spelling?) trees...

Really neat one Morkel. Good natural processing which really adds to the placid late day nature of the shot. Not nits, agree with Don that there is a cool shot in there of the distant trees and clouds, maybe your 500 could have been used for a landscape shot :)

Lovely colours and cloud formations, the ripples are a nice added touch.

Thanks folks. I didn't whip up the long lens in this case, sadly
