Northern Caracara throw their heads back and make a low rattling sound when they display. I happened to be in direct line when this juvenile displayed.

Yes this is very different, I like it, just maybe reduce the brightest highlights a little??

This could pass for a well-done Photoshop job! Even better to be real!!

Great that you had this line of sight and timing to capture this behavior, and on top of that you managed to make a great image out of it. IQ is awesome as usual. I agree with Jonathan's suggestion of trying to tone done the highlights just a tiny little bit.

I love this one Alan. It is such a great pose that when I first looked at it, it took me a second. Both eyes lined up perfectly with catch lights in them and due to the head angle f5 covered him well. I also really like the color combination with the background. That would make a great print.

I sat staring at the thumbnail before opening the thread trying to figure out what the heck this was. Love this image. Have photographed this behavior but never from behind!!! Whites under the chin could probably use a slight burn.
