This image where the Raritan Canal flows over the Millstone River from a few yeas ago was captured in one of those rare moments. I was taking an image in the opposite direction with beautiful afternoon light at my back. As the sun started to become obscured by clouds I turned to see this sight. C&C welcome.

Hi Geoffrey

I like this, its a nice composition and the grays conveys a wintery feeling, to me anyway.. Maybe its a little dark in places and maybe a bit blue, but I am not convinced on that.. Well done.

Very nice! Wonderful light and mood and a very pleasing composition. I notice the slight ripples in teh FG and then follow the canal to the gorgeous clouds.

I'd try to tone down the blown out light spot where the sun is shining through, but that's easier said than done.

Hi Geoffrey
The combination of excellent composition with soft pastel colours give a beautiful image.

Thanks Don, Diane, and Ian. Diane thanks to your masterful work on Mike's 'Slot Canyon Light Beam', and description of your process, I may attempt to tone the sun down.

Nice scene Geoffrey.
Besides the critiques already offered, to me the midtones and the sky look very "muddy", it can do with a specific midtone contrast boost IMHO.
