This fella stayed on this perch for long enough to get a snow accumulation on its head and back:S3:. Photographed near a local public bird feeder.

Canon 7D + 500mm f/4 II + 1.4TC, manual exposure, evaluative metering, 1/500s., f/5.6, ISO 800, small crop for composition, darkened pupil, darkened a couple of bright spots in the BG. In retrospect I'm not crazy about the LRC, but it is what it is...I may revisit the file and clean that up down there.

Lovely winter scene of a sparrow species I don't get to see very often. Great colors, pose, detail. But with two inches of ice in my driveway, I'm looking forward to spring.

Beautiful image Daniel. Love the snow covering the bird, it adds a lot to the image. I agree about cleaning the LRC portion of the photo. May just cloning out the running small branch.
