View Full Version : Black Skimmer-skimming next to th flock

Here is a real close up of a skimmer doing what it does best. I like the muddy feet, the eye visible and I don't mind the BG, only the one gall in the left side.Slightly cropped and jpeg compression is used to fit into the size limit. Comments are welcome.

Great action ,think the oof gulls in the b/g add interest rather than distract.

Tried to photograph these myself in Florida and failed miserably ,so well done getting this.

More nice skimming action! I love the water reflecting under the wing. I know you like the BG as is, and that is OK, but for me it is a tad distracting. I also feel the image needs some CCW rotation. Is the nictitating membrane closed?

Thanks for the comments everyone. Dan, good question. I am not sure about the membrane. It looks open to me.
