I should say this is full frame and I only cropped a hair to level it slightly

Looks like you forgot to attach the file! Make sure you've resized it to 800 pixels on the wider size, then, when writing your message, scroll down and browse for the image to upload. Hope that helps. I am sure it will be a great one...

Hi Pat!

Very good catch on the action here, love the tongue and the stretch!!

You cold use a little more room on the left and perhaps on the right as well. That would bring this image up a notch!! If at all possible a lower shooting angle always is a plus for these type shots. Your exposure looks pretty good, you got the blacks and just maybe a hair hot on the whites in the rear of the bird.

I think you did well!!! :)

Hey Pat, welcome! Love the poses that you saw! The long, linear pose that these Canada Geese have adopted is truly difficult to depict in an image...always seems like they stretch so far and there is no time to move back to give them more room in the frame. I would have used an ISO higher than 100 (say 200 or 400) to allow for a faster shutter speed (that one goose has a slightly motion-blurred bill). I seldom use 100 for wildlife images as the noise at 200 is virtually the same and we are almost always in a battle with light. :)
