Hi John,
This has a lot of drama in the colors........but it's not coming through in the conversion. Brighten the FG a bit and see if you can pop the colors and contrast in the sky a bit to really make this image what you saw in the rear-view.

Try a curves adjustment on the sky only. Place a point at the three-quarter point and pull down.

I kind of like the dark FG but feel it is too large. Crop off about 75% of it.

Wow, thats some glow. i might take about half off the water. I like the dark though to mirror the dark band on the sky. Frames it nicely. Way to grab this.
