Hello
I read many guide and I made my setup but I found some problem with Pink Menu AI servo.If I put the 1st image priority toward focus if I have a situation where the bird is moving or it is fighting could be possible that af will be no perfect autofocus but if I no make shoot I had loose the situation...

So I think could better 1st as release and second medium..
What you think about ?

I've always thought the choice would depend on how you tend to shot. Some try to be very economical, almost as if they were still shooting film, and will not take many bursts with more than one or two shots. For them, focus priority would make sense. OTOH, if you almost always shoot in bursts, then a release priority will perhaps miss focus on the first shot in the burst, but still yield a good "keeper ratios". (100% is unlikely in most situations).

I'd suggest making a choice and then analyze your results after and consider changing the preference if you think that the other choice might be better for you. There's no answer that's right for everyone.

If I am not mistaken you are asking about the effect of AI-servo first image priority set to either focus or release. This setting controls the delay between the time you press the shutter button and the time when the burst starts.

I recommend the setting in neutral position i.e. release+focus. If you set it to release the burst may start earlier but if the camera has not locked it may just deliver a series of OOF images, if you set it to focus it may wait too long missing a couple of frame that would have been acceptably sharp. Overall the field impact of this setting is relatively insignificant when shooting avian subjects.

off course you are right but I am no sure that this setting no change too much the situation and how works the camera.
We was two with two Canon 1Dx both setting with first shoot in focus , both with tripod..but shooting to the same eagle landing...and both at the right moment tried to shoot and the camera no worked.Then after some times I thinked to change the setting...; and in the same situation my camera worked and my friend no shooted!

Could be off course but two operators mistake ? And no more mistakes changing setting!!
Could be..but I left the setting changed..
