Great timing. The only thing that would be better is if the wings were down or up.

Very nice to see a wood stork in a land based environment. Very pleasing BG and nice eye level view. IQ is good.
I would like a bit more room in front and wish that the bird wasn't slightly past you.

Thank you for your comment, Alan. I went back to review the series of seventeen images captured of this stork in the two seconds it was in flight before I gave up on it. The first full wings up image had the wing tips significantly clipped. There were two other wings up opportunities in the series, but the bird was too far to my right to consider them for processing. Of the five wings down images captured, the last two were too far to my right, the previous two hid the bird's eye, with the first to appear in my blog.

Thank you for your comment, Gail. I consider myself lucky to have had this bird isolated as there are typically a handful of the species huddled close together at this venue. My expectation was certainly not that the bird would fly in my general direction, and was fortunately ready to get what I did.
