Incoming Snowy Owl with a bit of habitat and nice light. Hope you like!

Canon 7D + 500mm f/4 II, manual exposure, evaluative metering, 1/4000s., f/7.1, ISO 800, small crop for comp, some pesky white spots along the top cloned out. Baited.

Daniel:

Compelling gaze, in your face with the tighter framing, nice sense of depth from the bg, sharp.

Cheers

This is fantastic. Beautiful bird, pose, light, and BG. I guess the only thing I'd consider is toning down the reeds that are lit between the bird's wings.

Wonderful! I don't mind the area between the wings but wonder how it would look with the dark area along the top lightened a little.

I love these owl shots! Amazing incoming shot Daniel. The yellow stare and wing position are great. Habitat showing is an added bonus for me on this one

I love the downward stroke of the wings which make this bird fit perfectly within the frame. Along with the stare, and the natural BG, this makes an excellant image. Good work..

Hi Dan, great head on capture here, and I like the shape of the wings. Those eyes are piercing. Overall, well exposed, sharp, and the Snowy pops nicely from the BG.
