Hi Keith, I like the incline and nice to see you have captured that 'classic' marching pose, always fun. :bg3:

For me I would have liked more DoF, cranking that ISO (old cracked record I know) but use the D4 and all that it offers. These guys do move fast as those above know only too well, so next time more of everything. BKG offers a nice natural look, works well to separate the subject, I assume it's just a field?

Want to see more this year from you. :cheers:

Great shot lovely behavioural capture, I personally wouldn't worry about the beam, it is quite typical for the bird to be on a piece of wood such as this, there is a very similar situation near me but I just can't get close enough to the bird, it is near a well used public footpath and I would inevitably attract attention.

I am not sure but silver line crop on the top will not hut the beauty of the image.
