Florida in February?

Ted and I are talking about a run through the south and into FL about the first half of February, if weather permits -- will be flying a small plane from the west coast. Would also be looking for stops in the other southern states from south TX on east. We have done the two alligator farms, Circle B, and Fort DeSoto. An earlier trip caught some of the Fort Myers area and Everglades. I don't have any particular agenda -- any suggestions as to what is good would be welcome. I'll mostly be looking to "justify" the 7D2 + 100-400 and wouldn't mind dusting off the 600II.

We will probably stop in Bosque on the way back if we can deal with the climate change. Have been there once, several years ago.

Thanks! A couple of years ago we stopped in a nature photographer's gallery there and had a nice chat. Was about to see if I still have his email. I had a link to the supposedly one boat tour that get you to the cranes. Just about to look it up.
