This was from the first day I saw the owlettes really flying. The parents had been catching crawfish and feeding it to the owlettes back in some trees over a marsh where I couldn't see. One of the adults then began eating a crawfish itself and the owlettes saw it. They both threw a tantrum and this one flew across the road to where the adult was and tried to steal the crawfish (which he didn't get). The owlette was later fed another crawfish and took a nap. This was by far the best wing position I got of that flight. All C&C welcome.

The owl got a little too far to the right of my frame, so I added some canvas and filled in some vegetation.

Superb flight shot with very nice HA. Nice details on wing. Beautiful colors in the BG.
His face would bear another round of sharpness.

Lyle:

Nice wing position, angle in frame, clear area behind most of bird. Agree with Satish about the head sharpness. Looks like the point of focus was on the wing.

Hopefully many more opportunities for you!

Cheers
