Congrats on getting your target bird Richard. The diagonal perch looks nice and natural. The mottled bg adds enough interest without detracting. Great pose and details on the bird. Cleaning up two twigs behind the tail would be an option if you're so inclined. Well done Richard.

I too would suggest evicting the twig between the feet and the little bit of twig between the tail and wing feathers,

Rock n Roll is right! It's a good felling of accomplishment to finally get a target species, so well done. The frame looks nice with good details and exposure but I too would remove the branch between the legs.

You were well rewarded! Excellent colours on the subject, and I like the subdued tones of the surroundings. Perfect head angle! If mine I'd be tempted to slightly darken the vast area of whites at bottom, it may or may not work but worth a try.
