Some friends fail to understand how I can get up at 5:00 am for work every morning. Well, there are certain rewards. This was done in the spur of the moment yesterday morning after refusing the opportunity of snapping just as nice a sunrise one day earlier.

GND filter used in LR to reign in highlights in the sky. Phone lines and an uncoming vehicle removed using content aware fill in PS. No vibrance / saturation increased. This is what it looked like.

All C & C's welcome.

That's a pretty intense sky Tobie..! I agree early mornings are wonderful, sad thing is so are sleepin's... If I were to be picky with this image I would say there is a bit of fading in the sky's colour at the skyline more noticeable on the LHS above the green roof..

Very nice -- I like how you placed the street off-center and balanced it with the tree on the left. The exposure on the FG has lush darkness, appropriate to pre-sunrise.

Did you see what Highlight recovery would do for the sky? This could be a great case for shooting two exposures and compositing in PS.

No fair to get sunrises like that! Glad you took time for the picture.

Nice one Tobie, just wondering if you might be able to pull some details out of the trees along the right side of the comp.

Thanks Andrew. I was not planning to light up the shadows at all (I like the 'semi-sillhouetted' trees) but I'll play around and see what it looks like.

HI Tobie, I wish I could sleep in to 5:30 when I have an opening shift :S3: I like the first version better.

Hi Tobie
Well they say to each their own, and for me I prefer the 2nd post.
The road catches my eye and draws me into the picture.
