This was taken from the Acoma Pueblo in west central New Mexico. It is a number of years old and I am just now getting around to developing it. As no tripods are allowed at the pueblo, it was shot handheld (and using a Canon digicamera, at that).
I have an alternative version in which I have cropped out from the bottom about 2/3 of the foreground rock formation, but I think this version is a stronger image, as I think the massive rock formation in the foreground adds 'weight' and counterbalances the sky island in the background.
