They aren't the prettiest, but they do have a very entertaining personality. Funny how it seems another black vulture went to the bathroom right on this one. I liked the early morning light here and his pose. This is virtually the original, so wasn't sure about the compo so posted here.

I like the expression you caught. His mother probably thinks he's handsome. They do have an appealing sort of look, as do turkey vultures. And they also seem to nest in vertical arrays....

A tighter crop would remove some of the busy-ness, for me. And you didn't embed a profile, which can cause some strange colors for some browsers and monitors.

Haha yeah. I like your crop, I am trying to crop less and less, but it always seems with wildlife you need to crop. I thought Photoshop automatically embeds an srgb profile to jpegs when you use the save for web, originally it is adobe RGB?

The Save for Web dialog has two checkboxes for which profile to convert to and whether to tag it. Once checked they should be sticky.

Yeah right, and both are checked for mine, weird, maybe on accident I unchecked it for that image. Thanks for the help.

Did you post it first to an online site and grab it from there? Some of them will strip profiles.

nice sharp image, the blacks look good to me and I like the crop Diane reposted. Interesting bird and a beauty in its own way.

Dvir,

Im a fan of the original comp. I think one of the only things I think would improve the image would be toning down the bright white branch behind the vulture.

Sometimes ugly goes around the dial so far it actually becomes attractive. Excellent crisp shot. I like both OP and RP versions.
